Welcome to the Grace United Church Coombs

Welcome

We are a small yet vibrant Christian community eager to share God’s hospitality, love and joy.  It’s a hospitality that embraces you as you are, regardless of age, culture, gender, marital status, orientation, the state of your bank book or the state of your faith.  It’s a love that we have found in Jesus and want to freely share.  It’s a joy that we experience life together through worship and outreach activities that seek to make a better community.   We invite you to scroll through our website, listen to a message or reach out to contact us.   Thanks for taking the time to check things out.

Worship occurs at 9:30am on Sunday mornings.
We also include a Zoom option for those who would like to attend remotely.

Contact Reverend Ed at reved@telus.net and he will gladly provide you with a Zoom link.

A Prayer for reconciliation

We pray for the families, communities, and all those who were affected by the legacy of the residential schools. May they find comfort and strength.

We ask for forgiveness for the wrongs that were done, and we pray for the courage to acknowledge the harm that was inflicted. Help us to listen to the stories of those who were hurt and to take steps towards healing and reconciliation.

We pray for the leaders and decision-makers in our society, that they may have wisdom and humility to seek justice and reconciliation. May they work towards building a society where all are valued and respected, and where the wounds of the past can be healed.

We ask for your blessings on this journey of reconciliation, that we may learn to live together in peace and harmony. May we be guided by your love and grace, and may we work towards a brighter future for all.

Who we are

We are an active church with a history rooted in Coombs B.C. Our congregation is made up of worshippers from Coombs and the surrounding areas from Deep Bay to Nanaimo, Parksville, Errington and Qualicum Beach. Our mission is to welcome all people into our church family and to provide opportunities for all ages to grow in the knowledge of the Christian way of life. We do this primarily through faithful and joyful worship and by speaking and living out our Christian values.
